Conductor Ben Gernon joins the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, with Jennifer Pike in a performance of Bruch's first Violin Concerto and Dvorák's New World Symphony. Dvorák's piece takes inspiration from both Native American and African American melodies. The performance is held in Salford.
